Emily is a 20-year resident of Inglewood and East Nashville with a passion of serving others.
Having been engaged with local non-profits since the early 2000's, her work includes having served on the board of the regional affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, which helps connect diverse businesses to corporations. She continues this work today on the board of the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
Professionally, her experience includes negotiating more than $325 million with large companies to provide custom solutions for the needs of their employees and their bottom line. In 2016, she transferred those skills to a career in real estate, helping individuals buy and sell residential property throughout middle Tennessee. Through the Greater Nashville Realtor association, she serves on the Affordable Housing Committee, which helps connect potential homebuyers to programs and education.
Emily’s current policy platform includes fully funding schools and teachers, building coalitions to ensure residential growth aligns with neighborhood values, improving infrastructure, and creating affordable housing. She will champion these core issues for District 7.
Emily received her B.A. from Western Michigan University. She and her partner live in North Inglewood with three dogs and a cat. In her spare time she enjoys running, golf, camping, and kayaking.
