ABOUT EMILY BENEDICT
Emily represents Inglewood and Madison on the Nashville Metro Council.
Emily was elected to serve District 7 of Nashville’s Metro Council.
She has served on the following Council Committees:
Budget & Finance
Health, Hospitals, and Social Services
Transportation and Infrastructure
Planning, Zoning, and Historical
Human Services
Government Operations and Regulations
Emily has lived in East Nashville since 1999, with over 15 years in Inglewood, Gra-Mar Acres, and Porter Heights.
Emily received her B.A. from Western Michigan University. She lives in Inglewood with her partner, Jessica. She has served on the Boards of the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Pride, and the Tri-State Minority Supplier Development Council.
She is committed to making sure everyone’s voice is heard and serving the residents of District 7 with smart solutions for change and growth, while maintaining our city’s rich history.
