What is the Nashville Metro Council?
The Nashville Metro Council is a 40-member body of elected representatives, of which 35 are elected by district and 5 are elected at-large, or county-wide. Members serve 4-year terms. The presiding officer is the Vice Mayor, who is elected at-large.
Metro Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at the David Scobey Council Chamber in the Metropolitan Courthouse, One Public Square in downtown Nashville. You can view the Metro Council meeting agendas here.
